Job summary

Hough Green Garage is expanding its team and seeks Recovery Drivers (7.5t, Class 2, and heavy recovery) based in Preston. You will respond to breakdowns, recover vehicles safely, and transport them to destinations while maintaining professional service under pressure.

Join a fast-paced team with full training, PPE provided, and ongoing development opportunities. Day and night shifts available with permanent roles and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph Card mandatory.
• Proven driving experience, recovery experience desirable.
• Strong communication and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work under pressure and independently.
• Clean licence and able to pass police vetting.
• Good local geography knowledge.
• Basic mechanical understanding preferred.
• Flexible working hours and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns and accident scenes across our area.
• Safely recover and transport vehicles from motorways and major routes.
• Complete vehicle checks and keep vehicles/yard tidy.
• Use company PDA systems to complete jobs.
• Assist with moving vehicles within the depot as required.
