Job summary

Hough Green Garage in Bolton is seeking skilled Recovery Drivers for 7.5t and HGV classes 1 and 2. The role involves breakdown response, vehicle recovery and safe transport to yards or garages, with thorough checks and customer-facing service.

You will work 12-hour shifts on a 4 on/2 off pattern, on-site, with full training provided and weekly pay. A full UK driving licence, CPC and tachograph card are required; police vetting may apply.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid UK driving licence (Cat B for 7.5t) and CPC/Digital Tachograph card.
• Experience in recovery driving is desirable but not essential.
• Good local knowledge and customer-focused approach are required.

Responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns and accident scenes across the operational area.
• Safely recover and transport vehicles from road incidents to locations or garages.
• Complete vehicle checks and maintain a tidy vehicle/yard.
• Use company PDA systems to log each job.
• Assist with moving vehicles within the depot as required.
