Job summary
Hough Green Garage Ltd in Preston seeks Recovery Drivers for 7.5t, Class 2 and heavy recovery roles. You will attend breakdowns and recover vehicles, drive safely, and complete checks using our PDA systems. Shifts are 4 on / 2 off with 12-hour hours, with on-call for day shifts and options for night work.
Permanent role with weekly pay and full training provided. You'll need a full UK driving licence, DCPC & Digital Tachograph Card, proven driving experience, and a customer‑focused, calm
Qualifications
- Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence and DCPC & Digital Tachograph Card.
- Proven driving experience in recovery is preferred.
- Strong communication and customer-focused approach required.
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts with flexibility for on-call.
Responsibilities
- Attend breakdowns and accident scenes across the operational area.
- Safely recover and transport vehicles from motorways and major routes.
- Complete vehicle checks and maintain a tidy vehicle/yard.
- Ensure all jobs are completed using company PDA systems.
- Assist with moving vehicles within the depot as required.
