Job summary

Hough Green Garage is seeking Recovery Drivers for 7.5t, HGV1 and HGV2 roles based in Wigan. You will attend breakdowns and recover vehicles, delivering a calm, professional service to customers across our nationwide area.

We offer permanent roles with weekly pay, full training, and a modern fleet. Applicants should hold a full UK driving licence, DCPC and Tachograph card, and be able to work flexible days and shifts, including on-call where required.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• DCPC and Digital Tachograph Card essential.
• Proven driving experience; recovery experience helpful but not required.
• Strong communication and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work under pressure and independently.
• Clean record; able to pass police vetting.
• Good local geographical knowledge.
• Basic mechanical understanding preferred.
• Flexible approach to working hours.

Responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns and accident scenes across our operating area.
• Safely recover and transport vehicles from motorways and major routes.
• Complete vehicle checks and maintain a tidy vehicle/yard.
• Ensure all jobs are completed using company PDA systems.
• Assist with moving vehicles within the depot as required.
