Job summary

Hough Green Garage Ltd is seeking Recovery Drivers for 7.5t, HGV1 and HGV2 roles based in Shrewsbury. This permanent position operates on 4 on / 2 off shifts with 12-hour shifts on various starts discussed at interview. The role offers weekly pay and full training on a modern fleet of vehicles.

You will attend breakdowns, safely recover and transport vehicles, perform checks, and use PDA systems. A full UK licence, DCPC & Tachograph Card, and pressure-resilience are essential; police vetting

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• DCPC & Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Proven driving experience in recovery preferred.
• Good local geographical knowledge.
• Ability to pass police vetting.

Responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns and accident scenes across the operational area.
• Safely recover and transport vehicles from motorways and major routes.
• Complete vehicle checks and keep vehicle/yard tidy.
• Operate company PDA systems for job completion.
• Assist with moving vehicles within the depot as needed.
