Job summary

Hough Green Garage Ltd in Telford is recruiting Recovery Drivers for 7.5t and HGV classes. This permanent role offers 12-hour shifts, a supportive team, and training on the job.

You'll attend breakdowns and recover vehicles across our service area, ensuring safe transport and clear communication with customers. A full UK driving licence and CPC are required, with opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Must hold a 7.5T, HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence
• DCPC & Digital Tachograph Card
• Proven driving experience; recovery experience is desirable but not essential
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• Ability to work under pressure and independently
• Good local geographical knowledge
• Clean record and ability to pass vetting

Responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns and accident scenes across our operational area
• Safely recover and transport vehicles from motorways and major routes
• Complete vehicle checks and maintain a tidy vehicle/yard
• Use company PDA systems to update job details
• Assist with moving vehicles within the depot as required
