Job summary

Change Grow Live in Birmingham is seeking a Dependency and Recovery Coordinator to support people from entry into services through their recovery journey. You will help ensure timely access to interventions, coordinate care and deliver structured group work within approved premises.

The role requires experience in substance misuse, group work and strong communication skills, with a commitment to recovery-oriented outcomes and working in a potentially custody-related setting on occasion.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of substance misuse and related fields.
• Experience delivering group work and managing group dynamics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and use initiative.
• Knowledge of mental health interventions and safeguarding responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from engagement through recovery.
• Deliver screening, assessment, recovery planning and referrals.
• Reduce drug- and alcohol-related harm for individuals and communities.
• Promote involvement of service users, carers and communities.
• Provide advocacy and access to partnership services.
