Job summary

Change Grow Live in Dewsbury is recruiting a Recovery Coordinator for the Opiate Team. You will assess, engage and support service users to access the right interventions at the right time, within a flexible, person-centered framework.

The role emphasises facilitating groups, delivering structured content, advocacy and partnership working to reduce harm and promote recovery and social reintegration.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of substance misuse issues.
• Experience facilitating groups/pods and managing group dynamics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; proficient with IT.
• Proactive, able to work on own initiative with strong time management.
• Knowledge of mental health interventions and services.
• Ability to work in partnership with professionals, agencies and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage organisational change prioritising service users.
• Commitment to information governance and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from entry into the service through treatment/recovery journey.
• Provide screening, assessment, and recovery planning with onward referrals.
• Reduce drug and alcohol-related harm for service users and wider community.
• Promote involvement of carers, service users and the community.
• Advocate for access to partnership services.
• Work with service users to support social reintegration, recovery, resilience and peer support.
• Prepare and tailor materials for group sessions and pods.
• Deliver structured group content for users at different stages of recovery.
• Lead debriefings and progress reviews with co-facilitators after groups/pods.
