Job summary

Change Grow Live in Liverpool is seeking a Recovery Coordinator to assess and engage with service users, ensuring access to the right interventions at the right time. You will manage a caseload of hostel residents across Central Liverpool, delivering evidence-based interventions and coordinating care to support recovery.

The role involves group and 1:1 work, motivational interviewing and CBT techniques, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding, partnership working and flexible engagement to meet

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of substance misuse and related issues.
• Experience with groups/pods and managing group dynamics.
• Experience with homeless or vulnerable people including those with substance misuse and mental health issues.
• Experience delivering brief, extended and structured interventions using evidence-based techniques (MI, CBT) including group and 1:1 work.
• Experience of case management/care coordination for vulnerable service users.
• Ability to work in partnership with professionals, agencies, and stakeholders.
• Commitment to information governance and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from entry through treatment and recovery.
• Provide screening, assessment, recovery planning and onward referral.
• Reduce drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community.
• Hold a caseload of hostel residents and support flexible, creative engagement.
• Deliver harm reduction interventions, motivational work and person-centred support.
• Support residents to re-engage with treatment, healthcare, housing and other services.
• Promote safer injecting, overdose prevention, naloxone use and wellbeing approaches.
• Facilitate access to wellbeing initiatives.
• Deliver structured content within group settings to service users at various stages of recovery.
• Tailor workshops around the needs of the service users (anger management, sleep disorders, relationships).
