Job summary

Vets Now in Glasgow is seeking a Part Time Out-Of-Hours Veterinary Receptionist to be the first point of contact for clients during emergencies, greet clients, answer calls, and handle appointments and payments.

You will manage clinic administration, update veterinary staff about patients enroute or requiring assistance, and provide accurate information and reassurance to clients while supporting veterinary professionals.

• Administration: manage clinic tasks, keep records accurate, and inform veterinary staff about patients in transit or needing assistance.

£13.45ph plus benefits plus a 10% shift allowance for working out-of-hours

Role Overview

• First point of contact:
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for clients during emergency situations, whether through calls or in person visits. Including greeting all clients, answering calls, and booking appointments as well as handling financial transactions.
• Administration:
  • Manage administrative duties in clinic accurately, ensuring the smooth operation of the service.
  • Providing updates to veterinary staff about patients enroute or clients requiring assistance.
• Client Support:
  • Be a friendly and reassuring presence, offering support and information when clients need it most.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and veterinary professionals.

Working pattern

Week 1: Sunday, Monday and Tuesday from 00:00 to 07:00

Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 00:00 to 07:00

Week 3: Off

Week 4: Sunday, Monday and Tuesday from 00:00 to 07:00
