Job summary

Big Mamma is seeking a Reception Supervisor to lead our front-of-house team across UK venues, ensuring every guest receives a warm, professional welcome and a seamless experience.

You will manage bookings with SevenRooms, onboard and train new hosts, schedule rotas, handle issues, maintain cleanliness and health & safety standards, and contribute to a vibrant, high-energy service culture.

Qualifications

• Experience as head host/hostess or reception supervisor.
• Strong knowledge of front-of-house operations and bookings management.
• Proficiency with SevenRooms software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the host team, maintaining high standards and bookings.
• Resolve or escalate issues and complaints when needed.
• Manage bookings and enquiries using SevenRooms.
• Onboard and train new hosts, supporting floor managers with rota scheduling.
• Proactively solve problems when bookings or service don’t go as planned.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation and health & safety standards on the floor.
• Create memorable moments for guests with a warm, friendly and professional attitude.

We’re now looking for a Reception Supervisor to lead our front-of-house team!

The role

As a Reception Supervisor at Big Mamma, you’ll be the perfect example of our brand, ensuring every guest receives a warm, professional welcome and a seamless experience.

You will:

• Lead the host team, maintaining high standards and maximising bookings
• Resolve or escape issues and complaints when needed
• Manage bookings and enquiries using SevenRooms
• Onboard and train new hosts, supporting floor managers with rota scheduling
• Solve problems proactively when bookings or service don’t go as planned
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation and health & safety standards across the floor
• Create memorable moments for guests with a warm, friendly and professional attitude

About you

• Big smile and passion for Italian food
• High energy, proactive attitude and team spirit
• Excellent customer service, leadership and communication skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of floor operations
• Previous experience as a head host/hostess or reception supervisor
• Previous experience with SevenRooms
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
