Merlin is hiring Leisure Operations Receptionists to join the Hotels team at Alton Towers Resort. You will welcome guests, handle admissions and bookings, process payments, and maintain a welcoming front desk environment on site.

The role requires flexibility across weekdays, weekends and bank holidays, with a proactive, friendly service mindset to ensure memorable guest experiences within a fast-paced leisure setting.

Qualifications

• Providing exceptional customer service and assisting guests with enquiries.

• Managing key handling procedures and security processes.
• Collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless guest journeys.
• Communicating important guest information to relevant teams promptly.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming reception area.

Receptionist - Leisure Operations

Location: Alton Towers Resort

Hours/Availability: Ideally applicants will be available 5 out of 7 days including weekends but applicants with limited availability will be considered.

• Welcoming guests and creating a friendly, professional first impression at our Waterpark and Golf attractions.
• Providing exceptional customer service and assisting guests with enquiries throughout their visit.
• Handling admissions, bookings, payments, and cash transactions accurately.
• Managing key handling procedures and ensuring security processes are followed.
• Working closely with colleagues and other departments to ensure seamless guest journeys.
• Communicating important guest information to the relevant teams in a timely manner.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming reception environment.
• Ensuring every guest leaves with a positive lasting impression of the Alton Towers Resort.

Qualifications & Experience

• Have a flexible attitude towards availability as you will be required to work weekdays, weekends and bank holidays
• A positive, enthusiastic and energetic approach, with the ability to create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for guests
• A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Previous experience working on a busy reception desk is desirable

Compensation between GBP £8.00/Hr.-GBP £12.71/Hr.
