Job summary

Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust is recruiting an Administrator/Receptionist to support the Redditch Neighbourhood Mental Health Team. The role involves busy front-desk duties, inbox management, appointment bookings and general admin across the team and wider admin function.

You will need a Level 2 qualification in Business Administration or equivalent and be prepared to complete an administration qualification. NHS experience is welcomed; training will be provided.

Qualifications

  • Must have a Level 2 qualification in Business Administration or equivalent, and be expected to complete an administration qualification.
  • NHS experience will also be considered.
  • Permanent post working 23 hours per week (Mon-Tue 9:00-17:00, Wed 8:30-17:00).
  • Excellent organisational skills and effective communication are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide admin support for the Redditch Neighbourhood Mental Health Team, including telephone duties and inbox management.
  • Handle appointment booking, reception cover and general office tasks.
  • Liaise with patients, carers, professionals and colleagues daily and act as part of the wider admin function.

Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our busy admin Neighbourhood Mental Health Team. We are seeking an experienced Administrator/Receptionist to provide support for the teams and members of Hill Crest in Redditch Applicants require a level 2 qualification in a Business Administration subject or a level 2 in an alternative subject and be expected to complete an administration qualification. Alternatively, NHS experience will also be considered. This is a permanent post working 23 hours per week (Monday and Tuesday 9.00am to 5.00pm and Wednesday 8.30am to 5.00pm) An ability to work flexibly using your own initiative and to be a pro-active team member is essential. You must have very good organisational skills and be an effective communicator. The work is interesting and varied and full training will be provided. Shortlisted candidates will be required to undertake an additional assessment as part of the selection process. Applicants must read the attached guidance notes before submitting your application for full understanding of Trust requirements.Main duties of the job You will be part of the busy admin team for the Redditch Neighbourhood Mental Health Team. You will undertake a vital role in the running of the community mental health function providing all aspects of admin support including telephone duties, inbox management, appointment booking, reception cover and generic office duties. The role will include contact with patients, carers, professionals (internal and external) and colleagues daily. As well as being part of the Redditch admin team, you will act as a member of the wider admin function providing support and cover when required, liaising regularly with the clinical team and actioning daily admin tasks. You are required to have a high level of organisational skills and not only be able to be self-motivated but be a team player. The ability to prioritise a busy workload and work flexibly to meet demand are essential requirements of the role as well as a good customer service focus, when dealing with internal and external enquires.
