Your new role As a Temporary Receptionist & Administrative Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, parents, pupils and staff, ensuring a professional and friendly reception service at all times.
You will also provide general administrative support across the school and assist with a variety of day-to-day office functions.
Duties Answering and directing incoming telephone calls.
Welcoming and assisting visitors to the reception area.
Responding to queries from staff, parents and pupils.
Preparing and processing incoming and outgoing post.
Providing general administrative support across the school as required.
Assisting with the administration of the school's second-hand uniform shop.
Maintaining accurate records and office documentation.
Supporting the wider administration team with ad hoc duties as required.
Undertaking additional tasks as reasonably requested by the school management team
Previous administration experience with excellent organisational skills.
Strong customer service skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
The ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
Intermediate IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
A willingness to learn, develop and support the needs of a busy school environment.
