Job summary

CYGNET is seeking an experienced Receptionist at Cygnet Newton House, Blackpool. This full-time role (40 hours weekly) runs Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00, with DBS checks required and a professional reception environment supporting men in high-quality care settings.

You will manage visitor reception, calls, post, and general office tasks while upholding confidentiality and safety protocols in a high-support service near Blackpool centre.

Qualifications

• Polite, friendly and approachable with excellent communication skills.
• Organised, naturally helpful and a good multi-tasker.
• Knowledgeable of telephone systems.
• GCSE Maths and English qualified with a good level of numeracy and literacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional, welcoming reception experience.
• Greet visitors and notify the appropriate staff member of their arrival.
• Ensure visitors sign in & out, and that patients leaving & returning are recorded appropriately.
• Answer & transfer all incoming calls and take messages where appropriate.
• Sort & distribute post, and assist with general office duties as required.
• Keep the reception area clean & tidy.
• Promote the safety & security of all site users and ensure staff comply with security protocols.

You will be working full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00am to 17:00pm.Cygnet Newton House offers both a high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) service and community rehabilitation (level 1) service for men. The service is dedicated to providing a high quality environment for promoting long-term recovery.From admission, the team work with the men we support to maximise positive outcomes and recovery, while focusing on discharge plans to support them to move on to the least restrictive environment for them. Our dedicated clinical team provide a multi-disciplinary input including occupational therapy, psychology, psychiatry and vocational training.Located 1 mile from Blackpool centre, Cygnet Newton House benefits from being close to plenty of amenities.
