Job summary

Portico, based in Birmingham, is seeking a Receptionist (Regional Guest Services Ambassador) to join a small team on a full-time basis. The role focuses on meet and greet, office support, and management of meeting rooms with hospitality duties.

Hours: 40 per week; shifts 07:30-16:30, 08:00-17:00, or 09:00-18:00, Monday to Friday; salary £31,080 per annum. A customer-focused approach and proactive problem solving are essential for delivering exceptional service.

Portico have an outstanding opportunity available for a Receptionist (Regional Guest Services Ambassador) to join our team based at the Birmingham offices of a global consultancy firm.

We take great pride in being the service partner selected to deliver an intuitive service, with careful planning and faultless standards. Our reception team have a special can-do, flexible approach and relish the opportunity to keep raising the bar, exceeding expectations at every opportunity.

The new Receptionist will join a small team on a full-time basis and will play a key role in several areas, based around the meet and greet provided to the firm’s staff and visitors, office support, and the management and facilitation of meeting rooms, including elements of hospitality. They will anticipate client needs, following up each time to ensure expectations are exceeded with every interaction.

Alongside the Reception duties of the role, there are hospitality services provided by the team. The duties of this part of the role include furniture moves for room set ups, some kitchen work, replenishing and tidying vending and tea points, as well as the hosting of events.

As this is a new contract for Portico, there will undoubtably be room for the team to identify innovative and efficient ways to add value to our services, upholding and improving on the already world class offering provided by the team. Hours: 40 hours per week, with shifts from 07:30-16:30, 08:00-17:00 or 09:00-18:00, from Monday to Friday with ad hoc out of hours events cover required. Salary: £31,080 per annum
