Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated Reception Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in the TS14 area, starting in November 2026. This full-time role focuses on supporting early years learners in Reception, aiding language, literacy and numeracy development and encouraging play-based learning.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging activities, monitor progress, support children with daily routines and help create a safe, inclusive

Competenze

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary or early years setting.
• Experience supporting children in Reception, Nursery or EYFS.
• A relevant Teaching Assistant or early years qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Understanding of early childhood development and play-based learning.
• Confidence supporting early communication, language, phonics and numeracy development.
• Caring, patient, enthusiastic and proactive approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with young children and school staff.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow the class teacher's guidance and work

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate learning activities within the Reception classroom.
• Provide general classroom support to help children access learning and develop key early learning skills.
• Support individual children and small groups with early literacy, phonics, communication, language and numeracy activities.
• Encourage children's social, emotional and personal development.
• Support learning through play-based activities and practical experiences.
• Help children develop independence with daily routines, including dressing, tidying and managing their belongings.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage children to follow classroom routines.
• Assist with classroom preparation, displays and learning resources.
• Support children during transitions, outdoor learning and daily activities.
• Adapt resources and activities to meet children's individual learning needs.
• Provide additional support to children who may need extra help with their learning or development.
• Work collaboratively with the class teacher and wider school team to monitor and support children's progress.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, nurturing and stimulating classroom environment.
• Build positive relationships with children and encourage effective communication and teamwork.
