Thatto Heath Community Primary School is seeking a maternity-cover Reception class teacher for January 2027 to the end of Summer Term 2027. You will teach one Reception class within the EYFS team, planning language-rich provision and using assessments to determine next steps.

The role involves strong collaboration with the EYFS team, delivering high-quality early years provision, and supporting early reading, phonics, and maths while safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare.

Qualificações

• Sound grasp of the EYFS framework and how young children learn.
• Reception experience is desirable, not essential.
• Enhanced DBS check is required.

Responsabilidades

• Teach one Reception class.
• Work with the EYFS team to deliver engaging provision.
• Plan and deliver adult-led learning with continuous provision.
• Create a language-rich learning environment.
• Teach early reading, phonics, communication and mathematics.
• Use assessment to identify next steps and adapt teaching.
• Identify and support children with SEND early.
