The Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington invites applications for a full-time Shift Leader within the Front Office team. You will oversee Reception operations and supervise up to two staff, ensuring smooth check-in/out and accurate end-of-day processes.

Key duties include handling guest inquiries, registrations, room allocations, and maintaining cash floats, with a focus on upselling and delivering high service standards.

Qualifications

• Positive personality with showmanship and guest-focused service.
• Experience with Opera Cloud/Opera preferred.
• Confident in guest interactions and handling inquiries.
• Strong communication skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a busy environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Reception operations and supervise up to two staff.
• Manage end-of-day processes and ensure room accounts are accurate.
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and liaise with managers as needed.
• Ensure efficient guest registrations and correct room assignments.
• Oversee VIP, late arrivals, no-shows, and reservation changes.
• Ensure handovers between shifts follow hotel procedures.
• Encourage upsells, loyalty memberships, and guest questionnaires.
• Balance cash, manage floats, and report discrepancies to supervisor.
