Job summary

Millennium Hotels UK is seeking a Casual Receptionist at the Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington. You will register guests, handle check-ins/outs, and respond to inquiries to ensure a smooth arrival experience.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask under pressure in a bustling hotel environment. Experience with Opera Cloud is preferred, with opportunities for development and apprenticeship pathways within the brand.

Qualifications

• Experience with Opera Cloud/Opera preferred.
• Strong communication and guest-service orientation.
• Capable of multitasking and meeting deadlines.
• Flexible, calm under pressure, and well organised.
• Experience in large-scale hotels is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Register guests into the hotel and check them out, including audits when the system is down.
• Respond to guest inquiries and communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors.
• Assist the Shift Leader with tasks like checking market codes and passport details.
• Provide excellent customer service with a courteous, professional reception.
• Be fully knowledgeable of the hotel computer system and apply it to guest needs.
• Know room rates and policies and actively aid revenue generation.
• Process non-arrival reservations and verify bookings for accuracy.
• Familiarize with the hotel key system and liaise with Security as needed.
