Job summary

Aspire People Limited is seeking a dedicated Reception SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly Birmingham school. You will support a Reception-aged child with additional needs and help implement EHCP targets.

The role requires experience with SEN, Paediatric First Aid, and a nurturing, communicative approach. You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, parents and external professionals to create a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Term-time role with five days per week.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN, including complex needs.
• Paediatric First Aid qualification or experience.
• Knowledge of EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans) desirable.
• Ability to provide personal care with dignity and sensitivity.
• Strong communication and nurturing approach with young children.

Responsibilities

• Support a Reception-aged child/children with additional needs.
• Implement strategies and targets in EHCPs.
• Assist with personal care tasks.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, parents and external professionals.
