Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Reception-aged child at a welcoming primary school in Hall Green. You will provide close 1:1 support throughout the school day to help the child access learning and participate in classroom activities alongside peers.

The role involves assisting with physical needs, mobility, wheelchair transfers and personal care, including intimate care.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant.
• Experience with physical disabilities or complex needs.
• Comfortable providing physical support and manual handling.
• Able to perform personal care including intimate care in a respectful manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide close 1:1 support to a Reception pupil throughout the day.
• Assist with wheelchair transfers and other manual handling requirements.
• Support personal care including intimate care in a professional manner.
• Promote inclusion, independence and access to learning.
