Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to join a specialist school in Northfield, Birmingham, supporting pupils aged 2-19 with a range of complex SEND needs. You will provide classroom and individual support to help learners access education and develop communication and social skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience with SEND and a Level 2/3 TA qualification or equivalent, and be comfortable with 1:1 and small-group support, including personal care where required.

Qualifications

• Have previous experience working with children or young people with SEND.
• Have a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
• Be patient, caring and confident supporting pupils with complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and individual support.
• Assist pupils to access learning and develop communication, independence and social skills.
• Support with personal care where required and manage 1:1 or small-group activities.
