Job description

HCB Widdows Mason is seeking an experienced and dynamic Reception Manager to lead our front-of-house team. This role is essential for ensuring that our reception area operates smoothly and efficiently while providing a welcoming atmosphere for clients and visitors alike.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the reception area, ensuring a high level of service is delivered at all times
  • Managing and training reception staff, fostering a positive teamwork culture
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring excellent customer service and effective communication
  • Coordinating appointment scheduling and managing the calendars of key staff members
  • Ensuring the reception area is tidy, organized, and well-presented
  • Implementing and maintaining effective procedures to streamline operations
  • Managing incoming calls and directing them appropriately, as well as handling incoming and outgoing mail
  • Assisting with the planning and coordination of events and meetings as required


Requirements

  • Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a reception or administrative environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional organisational capabilities and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and reception management systems
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure
