Job summary

The Education Specialists are seeking a dedicated Primary School Teacher to join a welcoming Bootle school to teach a Reception class on maternity cover. This full-time, temporary role starts in January and runs for two terms, offering a supportive environment focused on pupil progress.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
• Experience teaching Reception is desirable
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging EYFS learning experiences for a Reception class
• Teach a Reception class throughout the maternity cover period
• Support children's development across the seven areas of learning
• Differentiate teaching to meet a range of needs
• Monitor and track pupil progress
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
• Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCO and school leadership
