Job summary

Woodlands Event Centre - Reception in the United Kingdom is seeking a Venue Host Supervisor to join our Venue Host Team. The role covers 40 hours over a 5-day period with a 7-day rota, including evenings and weekends.

The supervisor leads the team to deliver top-notch guest experiences and reports to the Front of House Manager. You will handle guest enquiries and complaints, manage reservations, and participate in training for yourself and new team members while ensuring the venue runs smoothly

Qualifications

• Hands-on approach with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Strong communication with guests, colleagues and other departments.
• Work under Front of House Manager to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Participate in on- and off-the-job training for yourself and team members.
• Supervise from the front and reinforce standards, policies and procedures.
• Be ready to run the venue as Duty Manager when required.
• Flexibility to work across a 7-day rota, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Venue Host Team to maintain high guest satisfaction.

• Oversee smooth day-to-day venue operations during shifts.

About this Role…

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our fantastic Venue Host Team as Venue Host Supervisor Supervisor, working 40 hours over 5 days (any 5/7).

Our Venue Host Team creates an exceptional first and last impression for every guest by delivering friendly, welcoming, and professional service at all times. The team is responsible for handling enquiries and complaints, as well as managing reservations. The Venue Host Supervisor is responsible for leading and supporting the team to ensure a consistently high standard of guest satisfaction.

What we’re looking for …

• A hands-on approach with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with guests, colleagues, and other departments.
• Work under the The Front of House Manager to ensure consistent guest satisfaction.
• To participate in on and off the job training for yourself and new team members.
• Supervise from the front – adhere to and reinforce all standards, policies, and procedures.
• Quick thinking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks.
• The confidence and capability to run the venue as Duty Manager when required, ensuring operational oversight, guest satisfaction, and staff coordination during these shifts.
• Flexibility to work across a 7-day rota, including evenings and weekends.
