Job summary

Jobless is seeking a Real Time Systems Development Engineer to join the Simulator Development Team within the Simulation and Vehicle Modelling Group. You’ll work on real-time and HIL systems like the Gearbox Dyno and DIL Simulator, collaborating with the Control Systems Group to drive performance and fidelity.

The role demands expertise in real-time modelling across mechanical, hydraulic, thermal, and electrical domains, along with MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related discipline.
  • Strong problem-solving, mathematical, and analytical skills.
  • Solid expertise in real-time systems, mechatronics, HIL simulators and controls.

Responsibilities

  • Support the ongoing development of the Gearbox dyno and DIL simulator.
  • Develop, integrate, and maintain models for real-time use (power unit, driveline, hydraulics, vehicle).
  • Apply correlation techniques to identify and resolve issues.
  • Work on real-time and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation solutions.
  • Develop and improve simulation and controls solutions to enhance HIL fidelity.
  • Develop and maintain tools for setup, diagnostics, data display, simulation, and analysis.
  • Collaborate across departments, contribute to technical reviews.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant technologies and industry best practice.
