Job summary

Automotive Tech in Wymondham is seeking a MATLAB and Simulink Engineer to develop and integrate software components powering next-generation automotive technologies. The role targets candidates with strong MATLAB/Simulink skills and a solid grasp of real-time systems.

Qualifications

Degree (BSc or equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience using MATLAB / Simulink.
Understanding of real-time systems.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain models using MATLAB / Simulink
Produce clean, robust, and maintainable code aligned with development standards
Take ownership of assigned components or features
Collaborate with modelling, integration, and systems engineers to deliver project milestones
Participate in code reviews and implement feedback
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects
Support integration, testing, and real-time simulation activities
Contribute to documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
Monitor progress and escalation risks or issues when required
Occasional travel to support integration or project activities
