Job summary

McLaren Automotive has a vacancy for a Rigs and Modelling Engineer in Woking. You will develop and maintain real-time plant models in Simulink, ensuring deterministic execution for HIL testing across hybrid powertrains, transmissions, chassis control and ADAS systems.

Working with validation and software teams, you will verify models against requirements, enable reliable HIL deployments and contribute to continuous modelling improvements using MATLAB, Python and C/C++.

Qualifications

Strong Simulink modelling skills with real-time execution constraints.
Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop test benches, especially dSPACE SCALEXIO and Vector VT systems.
Ability to verify models against requirements and data, manage datasets with version control.

Responsibilities

Develop, validate and maintain real-time plant models in Simulink for HIL deployment.
Integrate external plant model components such as GT-Power and dSPACE ASM.
Ensure models are parameterised for real-time performance and documented to engineering standards.
Collaborate with validation, test engineers and HIL rig owners to ensure deployable models.
