Lamledge School in Shropshire is seeking a Reading Intervention Teacher (Unqualified) to join our team. You will identify literacy needs, assess progress, and deliver targeted intervention programmes to help students develop confidence and achieve success.

Qualifications

• Passion for literacy, reading development, and student achievement.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Confident analysing data and using it to inform practice.
• Ability to motivate and engage students with varying abilities and needs.
• Resilient, adaptable, and committed to improving outcomes for young people.
• Experience with children or young people in education or SEND.
• Commitment to inclusion and high expectations for every student.
• PTTLS/TEL qualification desired.

Responsibilities

• Conduct baseline and ongoing reading assessments.
• Analyse reading data and EHCP information to plan targeted interventions.
• Deliver engaging and effective reading intervention programmes.
• Monitor progress of individuals and groups.
• Prepare progress reports for parents, senior leaders, and governors.
• Support students to develop confidence, independence, and a love of reading.
• Deliver literacy and numeracy interventions.
• Collaborate with staff to provide needed support.
• Promote positive behaviour and a safe learning environment.
