Job summary

West Town Primary Academy is seeking a Reading Champion to lead targeted phonics interventions and small-group reading sessions using Little Wandle resources. You will assess pupil progress and support planning to accelerate early reading progress, ensuring interventions are delivered effectively.

Working with the Early Reading and Phonics Lead, you will engage with children, families and staff to foster confident, fluent readers.

Qualifications

• Phonics-focused role with targeted reading support.
• Experience delivering structured phonics interventions preferred.
• Ability to monitor pupil progress and adapt interventions.

Responsibilities

• Lead phonics interventions and small-group sessions.
• Deliver and monitor reading interventions using Little Wandle.
• Collaborate with Early Reading Lead and teaching staff.
