AMA Admin is seeking an Early Reading Intervention Assistant for a West Newcastle primary school. You will deliver targeted Read Write Inc. phonics sessions and support Year 1 pupils at risk of not meeting the standard in phonics.
You will also work with Year 2 pupils who need to resit the phonics assessment, track progress, and provide regular feedback to teachers and the phonics lead. A warm, encouraging environment will be created to motivate every child to succeed.

You will:
Deliver targeted catch up sessionsusing the Read Write Inc. Phonics programme.
Support Year 1 pupils at risk of not meeting the expected standard in the Phonics Screening Check.
Work with Year 2 pupils who are required to resit the phonics assessment.
Track and record pupil progress, providing regular feedback to class teachers and the phonics lead.
Create a positive, nurturing environment where every child feels motivated to succeed.
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience delivering or supporting the Read Write Inc. phonics programme.
A solid understanding of early reading development and phonics instruction.
Experience working with KS1 pupils in small groups or one-to-one.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive, patient, and supportive approach to learning.
