Job summary

Brook Street in York is recruiting a Case Assistant to support the end-to-end vetting process, handling sensitive information with care and delivering high-quality customer service.

You will complete full reviews of vetting applications, communicate securely by email and phone, and learn the end-to-end process during a structured training programme with office-based attendance for 10 weeks, then a 3:2 office/home pattern.

Qualifications

  • Experience using bespoke IT systems is advantageous.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to stay composed under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Working as part of a team to carry out full reviews of vetting applications, including identity verification and information checks.
  • Responding to enquiries and obtaining additional information from vetting subjects, sponsors, and other stakeholders via email and telephone, handling sensitive customer information securely.
  • Delivering a high-quality, customer-focused service while learning and applying the end-to-end vetting process.
  • Supporting colleagues and applications through appropriate actions and interventions.
  • Moving between different administrative duties as required to meet business needs.
  • Making impartial, well-reasoned decisions in line with process requirements.
  • Working at pace to meet targets without compromising quality.

Job description

Location: Imphal Barracks, Fulford Road, York YO10 4HD

Pay:

£12.86 per hour

3 days in the office / 2 days from home

Training: Full training provided (initial programme may last up to

10 weeks). During training, attendance is

office-based 5 days per week

Security clearance: Basic SC clearance required (Costs covered by the hiring process)
