Job summary

Happy Days South West Limited is seeking an inspirational Early Years leader to join our nursery during an exciting period of growth. You will lead day-to-day operations, support a high-performing team and ensure top-tier care, education and safeguarding.

You will work alongside the Early Years Manager, drive continuous improvement, develop staff, and partner with families and the local community to deliver exceptional outcomes for children.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 in Early Years or Childcare required.
  • Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within an early years setting.
  • Strong understanding of EYFS, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and people management skills.
  • A proactive, approachable and supportive leadership style.
  • Passion for delivering outstanding care and education.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the day-to-day operations of the nursery.
  • Inspire, motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Ensure excellent standards of care, education and safeguarding.
  • Maintain compliance with EYFS, Ofsted and statutory requirements.

Salary: c£35k Plus performance related bonus

Having achieved ‘Expected Standard’ in our recent Ofsted inspection, we are creating a new leadership role offering the chance to work alongside our Early Years Manager to lead the day-to-day running of the nursery during an exciting period of growth and development. What we’re looking for:

We're seeking a confident and passionate early years professional who can lead by example and bring out the best in others.

  • At least be qualified to Level 3 in Early Years or Childcare
  • Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within an early years setting
  • Strong understanding of EYFS, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication, organisational and people management skills
  • A proactive, approachable and supportive leadership style
  • Passion for delivering outstanding care and education
