Long-term freelance contract

Job summary

Fawkes & Reece is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager for a long-term project in Worthing, West Sussex with an immediate start on 7 September 2026.

You will own day-to-day site operations, oversight of RAMS, CDM and health and safety compliance, and drive progress in line with programme and contractual requirements. Strong coordination with subcontractors and stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on long-term projects.
• Strong knowledge of RAMS, CDM and health and safety.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing site documentation.
• CSCS card and relevant site management qualifications.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are currently looking for an experienced

Freelance Site Manager to join a long-term project in

Worthing, West Sussex.

This is a hands-on Site Manager role for someone confident taking ownership of site operations, compliance, safety and progress from day one.

The Role

You will be responsible for the effective day-to-day management of the site, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme, contractual and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing, reviewing and managing

RAMS

• Monitoring and reporting

project progress and site data

• Ensuring full compliance with

CDM Regulations

• Managing

contracts, statutory requirements and relevant regulations

health & safety records

• Coordinating subcontractors and site activities
• Monitoring quality, programme and progress
• Ensuring site procedures and safety standards are followed
• Managing site documentation and compliance
• Liaising with project teams, contractors and stakeholders
• Identifying and resolving site issues efficiently

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a

Site Manager

• Strong knowledge of

RAMS, CDM and H&S

• Experience managing site documentation, progress and compliance
• Good understanding of construction contracts and regulations
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to manage the site independently and take responsibility
• Relevant Site Management qualifications and
