Job summary

Overton Nursery & Pre-School Centre in Wirral is seeking an Early Years Practitioner Level 2 or Level 3 for full-time or part-time hours. You will join a friendly team and provide a safe, caring environment for children aged 0-5, working on EYFS‑aligned activities.

The role requires EYFS knowledge, a Level 2/3 qualification, and an Enhanced DBS. You will plan engaging activities, promote welfare and build positive relationships with children and families while supporting the Nursery Manager.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualified practitioner in Early Years.
• Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
• Enhanced DBS (subject to check).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5.

We are looking for a part time, level 2 or 3 qualified Practitioner within Early Years and Child Care. You will work closely with the Nursery Manager and staff to create a safe learning environment for children to develop and grow holistically through their play.

The successful Nursery Practitioner will:

Deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years.

Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

Plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities to encourage development towards key milestones aligned to EYFS Framework.

Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding.

Be caring, hardworking, dedicated and work well within a team.

Build positive relationships with children and their families.

The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS.
