Job summary

Scope’s Windermere shop is hiring a part-time Assistant Shop Manager (14 hours/week). You will work with the Shop Manager to keep the shop running smoothly, help increase sales, and support a team of staff and volunteers. DBS check is required, and the role is permanent and on-site at Windermere, LA23 1DX.

You will promote Scope in the local community, manage stock, assist online selling, and ensure excellent customer service day-to-day.

• Retail experience is required for this role.

Assistant Shop Manager

As Assistant Shop Manager at Scope’s Windermere shop, you will work alongside the Shop Manager to keep the shop running smoothly each day. Every day is different. You will help increase sales, manage shop costs, and support and motivate the team.

In this role you will:

• Assist in the management of the shop operations
• Work with the Shop Manager to support, motivate, and involve a diverse team of paid employees and volunteers.
• Actively promote Scope and its services within the community.
• Support the shop manager to drive sales and effectively manage stock. Also support our online selling with identifying suitable items and listing on online selling platforms
• Help the team deliver excellent customer service.
• Deputise for the shop manager in their absence.
