Job summary

Yorkshire Trading Company invites applications for a Retail Store Supervisor at our Wetherby store. The role is part-time, 24 hours over 3 days, including some weekends on a rota.

You will support the store manager, deputise when needed, train staff, manage stock, pricing, and deliver excellent customer service to our busy customers.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising retail staff or a store team.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work evenings/weekends on a rota.

Responsibilities

• Assist the store manager in day-to-day store operations.
• Deputise for Store Manager when absent (key holder).
• Train and supervise cashiers and replenishment staff.
• Oversee stock displays, stock rotation and stock putting away.
• Keep up-to-date with products, promotions and pricing.
• Handle customer questions and resolve complaints.
• Direct customers to racks and provide traditional customer service.
• Assist with cashing up and ensure pricing accuracy.

Yorkshire Trading Company, are a growing family owned run business with 38 stores throughout Yorkshire, Lincolnshire & the North East; a busy ecommerce operation and Outdoor Events teams who trade nationwide.

We have an opportunity for a Retail Store Supervisor to join the team in our Wetherby Store.

The position is based on:

• 24 Hours over 3 days, to include some weekends on a rota basis

The ideal candidate would benefit from being flexible as additional hours may be required at busy times

Duties to include but are not limited to:

• To assist the store manager in the day to day running of the store
• Deputise in the absence of the Store Manager (key holder)
• Support in the management and training of retail colleagues, including cashiers and the replenishment team working on the shop floor.
• Work on store displays / stock rotation and put away
• Keep up-to-date with all of our products, services and promotions.
• Handle customer questions, complaints, and issues
• Direct customers by escorting them to racks and counters suggesting items, delivering great, traditional customer service
• Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Cashing up duties as and when required
• Ensure pricing is correct.
