Job summary

Yorkshire Trading Company in Hexham is seeking a Retail Store Supervisor for our busy store. This part-time role covers 32 hours over 4 days, including weekends on a rota basis, with pro-rata leave.

You will support the store manager, deputise as needed, train and supervise cashiers and the replenishment team, manage displays and pricing, and deliver great customer service daily.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail supervisory roles preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work weekends on a rota basis.

Yorkshire Trading Company, are a growing family owned run business with 38 stores throughout Yorkshire, Lincolnshire & the North East; a busy ecommerce operation and Outdoor Events teams who trade nationwide.

We have an opportunity for a Retail Store Supervisor to join the team in our Hexham Store.

The position is based on:

• 32 Hours over 4 days, to include some weekends on a rota basis

The ideal candidate would benefit from being flexible as additional hours may be required at busy times

Duties to include but are not limited to:

• To assist the store manager in the day to day running of the store
• Deputise in the absence of the Store Manager (key holder)
• Support in the management and training of retail colleagues, including cashiers and the replenishment team working on the shop floor.
• Work on store displays / stock rotation and put away
• Keep up-to-date with all of our products, services and promotions.
• Handle customer questions, complaints, and issues
• Direct customers by escorting them to racks and counters suggesting items, delivering great, traditional customer service
• Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Cashin up duties as and when required
• Ensure pricing is correct.

5.6 weeks annual leave (pro rata)
