Job summary

Yorkshire Trading Company Ltd in Selby seeks a Retail Store Supervisor to oversee daily store operations on a part-time basis.

You'll work 24 hours over 3 days, including some weekends on a rota, supporting the store manager, training colleagues, managing stock and delivering excellent customer service. Experience in cash handling and pricing accuracy is valued, and you will participate in promotions and visual merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Assist the store manager in day-to-day running of the store
• Deputise in the absence of the Store Manager (key holder)
• Support in the management and training of retail colleagues, including cashiers and the replenishment team working on the shop floor.
• Work on store displays / stock rotation and put away
• Keep up-to-date with all of our products, services and promotions.
• Handle customer questions, complaints, and issues
• Direct customers by escorting them to racks and counters suggesting items, delivering great, traditional customer service
• Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Cashing up duties as and when required
• Ensure pricing is correct.

Yorkshire Trading Company, are a growing family owned run business with 38 stores throughout Yorkshire, Lincolnshire & the North East; a busy ecommerce operation and Outdoor Events teams who trade nationwide.

We have an opportunity for a Retail Store Supervisor to join the team in our Selby Store.

The position is based on:

• 24 Hours over 3 days, to include some weekends on a rota basis

The ideal candidate would benefit from being flexible as additional hours may be required at busy times

Duties to include but are not limited to:

• To assist the store manager in the day to day running of the store
