CareTech is recruiting Mental Health Support Workers to join our Watford service, Essex Road, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. This is a permanent, full-time role with rota-based shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
Training and ongoing development are provided, with DBS checks paid for by CareTech. We value empathy, resilience, and a person-centred approach to improve daily living and community participation.
Permanent | Full-time | 37.5 hours per week (rota-based)
Shifts will be either early / late – 7.45am, 8am 9am start – 2.45pm 9pm or 10pm finish
To work every other weekend

Essex Road Supported Living Service consists of 13 self-contained flats has been built in Watford to accommodate people who may need support with the best possible recovery outcomes with long term and complex, needs in areas such as; drug, alcohol, stress, physical or mental illness either from past experiences or difficult relationships.
Essex Road has free on-site parking and excellent transport links for those commuting.
You will:
We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.
No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we’ll provide full training and a structured induction programme.
