You will monitor progress, provide tailored support, and work with employers and curriculum colleagues to ensure learning is workplace-relevant.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver apprenticeship standards within Further Education for property maintenance and brickwork.
  • Monitor apprentice progress and provide targeted academic and pastoral support.
  • Collaborate with Vocational Coaches, employers and curriculum colleagues to apply learning in the workplace.
  • Contribute to ongoing enhancement of the apprenticeship curriculum and QA processes.

Lecturer in Property Maintenance and Brickwork

We are currently seeking a motivated and focused Lecturer in Property Maintenance and Brickwork to join our Apprenticeship and Work-based learning Team.This role is ideal for someone with experience of delivering apprenticeship standards within Further Education or who has recent, relevant industry experience in the construction sector and is passionate about developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople.Joining us on a permanent basis, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning to apprentices, helping them develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to succeed both in the workplace and at End‑Point Assessment (EPA). Using a range of engaging and innovative teaching strategies, you will inspire apprentices to achieve their full potential while ensuring learning is relevant to current industry practices and employer expectations.You will monitor apprentice progress closely, providing individualised academic and pastoral support to ensure they remain on track to achieve timely success. Working collaboratively with Vocational Coaches, employers and curriculum colleagues, you will help apprentices apply their learning in the workplace and develop the confidence, competence and professionalism required within the construction industry.The successful candidate will also contribute to the continuous improvement of the apprenticeship curriculum, ensuring programmes remain aligned with apprenticeship standards, awarding organisation requirements and the evolving needs of employers and the wider construction sector. You will actively support quality assurance processes and help maintain strong employer partnerships that underpin outstanding apprenticeship provision.For full role responsibilities and essential criteria, please refer to the job description.
