Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Construction Lecturer for Solihull to deliver bricklaying, electrical installations, plumbing & gas, and multiskills programs. The role involves teaching construction subjects to apprentices and students, assessing/mentoring learners, and delivering high-standard apprenticeship programs across levels 1-3.

The candidate should have relevant construction qualifications, DBS clearance, and knowledge of apprenticeship standards and e-portfolio systems.

Qualifications

• DBS (and on update service)
• Knowledge of Apprenticeship Standards and E-portfolio systems (Smart Assessor)
• Ideally hold or be prepared to work towards Assessor/Verification award (TAQA, A1, V1)
• Stated minimum Level 2 Maths and English or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Teach construction subjects to apprentices and students
• Assess and mentor learners across levels 1-3
• Develop and deliver high-standard apprenticeship programs

Job Title: Construction Lecturer - Brick Laying / Ellectrical Instilliations / Plumbing + Gas / Mulitskills

Location: Solihull

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £25-£45

Full time 37 hours per week (some work remote)

If you have an ambitious vision for delivering high-standard apprenticeship programs, Contruction courses and/or a assessing the contruction students.

Colleges across the Solihull area are often seeking strong, experienced engineering staff to teach at various levels Often level 1-3.

We are looking for an individual who has the passion and ability to impart their experience, skills, and knowledge to a caseload of engineering apprentices and students

The successful candidate will have:

• Relevant Contruction Qualifications (Degree, Level 3 other recognise quals)
• DBS (and on update service)
• Great industry experience and knowledge (Crucial)
• CAVA Level 3 Assessor Qualification
• Knowledge of the Apprenticeship Standards and E-portfolio system (Smart Assessor) is beneficial.
• Ideally hold or be prepared to work towards an Assessor and Verification award, e.g., TAQA, A1 or V1.
• A minimum of Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English or equivalent.
