TeacherActive is seeking a Construction Lecturer in Birmingham to deliver Brick Laying, Electrical installations, Carpentry, Plumbing and Multiskills programs to learners at various levels.

The role involves managing a caseload of apprentices and students, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning, DBS clearance, and industry-aligned assessment. You will engage learners of all abilities and support progression into further education or employment.

Qualifications

• Must have construction teaching experience or suitable industry background.
• DBS clearance (and on update service) is preferred.
• Experience with apprenticeship programs and standards is essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver construction modules across bricklaying, electrical, carpentry, plumbing and multiskills.
• Assess and monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Engage learners of all abilities and support progression into further education or work.

If you have an ambitious vision for delivering high-standard apprenticeship programs, Construction courses and/or a assessing the construction students.

Colleges across the Birmingham area are often seeking strong, experienced engineering staff to teach at various levels – Often level 1-3.

We are looking for an individual who has the passion and ability to impart their experience, skills, and knowledge to a caseload of engineering apprentices and students

The successful candidate will have:

• Relevant Construction Qualifications (Degree, Level 3 other recognise quals)
• DBS (and on update service)
• Great industry experience and knowledge (Crucial)
• CAVA Level 3 Assessor Qualification
• Knowledge of the Apprenticeship Standards and E-portfolio system (Smart Assessor) is beneficial.
• Ideally hold or be prepared to work towards an Assessor and Verification award, e.g., TAQA, A1 or V1.
• A minimum of Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English or equivalent.
