We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Carpenter Multi-Trade to join a growing housing contractor, carrying out refurbishment and repair works to void social housing properties across Oxford and Reading. Working in partnership with housing associations, you'll play a key role in preparing properties to a high standard and ensuring they are ready for new tenants.
Responsibilities:
Carrying out reactive and planned carpentry and general maintenance works within void properties.
Completing carpentry works including repairing and replacing doors, frames, skirting boards, architraves, kitchen units, and flooring.
Undertaking minor multi-trade tasks such as basic plumbing, plaster patching, wall repairs, tiling, and general making-good works to ensure properties are fully prepared for occupation.
Identifying and completing required repairs efficiently, ensuring all works are carried out to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment throughout each property, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
Using a PDA to manage daily tasks, record job updates, capture relevant information, and accurately complete and close works.
Operating and maintaining tools and equipment responsibly, ensuring they are kept in good working condition.
Working efficiently to minimise void periods and ensure properties are completed to the required standard and ready for handover.
Requirements:
Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry (essential)
Basic DBS Check
Company vehicle, fuel card, and uniform included as part of the role package.
