Job summary

18 Recruitment Limited is seeking a reliable Multi-Skilled Carpenter to join our team for repairs, maintenance, and small works across social housing in Dartford and surrounding areas.

You will carry out carpentry repairs in occupied and void properties, including doors, frames, locks, kitchens, skirting, and architraves, while maintaining high workmanship and customer service. A full UK driving licence is required and health & safety standards must be followed.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent)
• Experience in domestic properties or social housing environments
• Ability to carry out maintenance and repair tasks to a high standard
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage workload
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry repairs, installations and maintenance across occupied and void social housing properties
• Complete a wide range of carpentry works (doors/frames, locks, kitchens, skirting, architraves)
• Diagnose and rectify defects efficiently, ensuring right-first-time completion
• Undertake basic multi-trade tasks when required
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards
• Provide professional, courteous, customer-focused service to residents
• Accurately complete job reports and paperwork

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry repairs, installations, and maintenance across occupied and void social housing properties.
• Complete a wide range of carpentry works, including door and frame repairs, lock replacements, kitchen repairs, skirting, architraves, and general joinery.
• Diagnose and rectify defects efficiently, ensuring work is completed right first time.
• Undertake associated basic multi-trade tasks where required.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations and company standards.
• Provide a professional, courteous, and customer-focused service to residents.
• Accurately complete job reports and associated paperwork.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent).
• Proven experience working within domestic properties or social housing environments.
• Ability to carry out a range of maintenance and repair tasks to a high standard.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
• Full UK clean driving licence.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
