Job summary

MMP Consultancy invites applications for a Multi Carpenter role with a social housing contractor. The position covers Croydon and surrounding areas and focuses on reactive repairs within occupied properties, delivering carpentry and allied trades to a high standard.

Successful candidates will have carpentry qualifications or time-served experience, own basic tools, and a full UK driving licence. A company van and fuel card are provided to support fieldwork and travel.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out reactive repairs and maintenance within occupied social housing properties.
• Completing carpentry works and multi-trade tasks such as basic plumbing, tiling, patch plastering, painting and decorating.
• Fitting, repairing and replacing doors, locks, kitchens, skirting boards and architraves.
• Providing a professional and customer-focused service to residents.
• Optional participation in out-of-hours call-out work.
• Ensuring all works are completed safely and to a high standard.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multi Carpenter to work for a Social Housing Contractor on a permanent basis, covering Croydon and surrounding areas. The role offers a salary of up to £38,000 - £40,500 per annum.

Successful operatives will be required to work within occupied social housing properties, carrying out reactive repairs and maintenance.

Working Hours

• * 08:00am - 17:00pm
• * Up to 7 jobs per day

Duties Include

• * Carrying out reactive repairs and maintenance within occupied social housing properties
• * Completing carpentry works along with associated multi-trade tasks such as basic plumbing, tiling, patch plastering, painting and decorating
• * Fitting, repairing and replacing doors, locks, kitchens, skirting boards, architraves and other carpentry installations
• * Providing a professional and customer-focused service to residents
• * Optional participation in out-of-hours call-out work
• * Ensuring all works are completed safely and to a high standard

You Must

• * Have experience working within social housing properties
• * Be qualified or time-served in carpentry
• * Provide your own basic hand and power tools
• * Have access to a smartphone (jobs issued via an app; BYOD allowance paid at £20 per month)
• * Be reliable, professional and able to work independently
• * Hold a full UK driving licence
