Job summary

Our client in Hartlepool is seeking an experienced Tyre Technician to join their fast-fit automotive centre. You will perform tyre fitting, replacements and repairs, and support fast-fit mechanical work including brakes, exhausts and basic servicing.

The role offers a stable long-term career with extensive in-house training and a clear progression path. Benefits include 32 days holiday, a competitive bonus, and on-site parking. Shift: Mon-Fri 08:30-17:30 with Saturday rota.

Qualifications

• NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience as Tyre Technician.
• UK driving licence valid for at least 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out accurate tyre fitting, replacements and repairs.
• Completing fast-fit mechanical work including exhaust and brake repairs and replacements.
• Carrying out basic servicing work.
• Maintaining accurate documentation in line with company policies and procedures.
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and aligns with industry-leading standards.
• Ensuring customers' vehicles are left clean and free from dirt, oil or marks.

Job description

Our client, one of the UK’s fastest-growing fast-fit automotive businesses, is currently looking for a Tyre Technician based at their retail centre in Hartlepool.

As a Tyre Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out accurate tyre fitting and repairs, as well as supporting with a range of fast-fit mechanical work, including brakes, exhausts and basic servicing.

Pay / salary: £28,750 basic depending on experience and qualifications

OTE: Approximately £3,600 achievable bonus

Shift and schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:30, 42.5 hours per week; Saturdays on a rota.

To be a Tyre Technician you will need:

• - Valid UK driving licence held for at least 6 months – Essential
• - NVQ, IMI or City & Guilds Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent. Level 2 qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, HGV, LCV or PSV Vehicle Maintenance and Repair will also be considered
• - At least 1 year of experience working as a Tyre Technician
• - A passion for the Automotive industry and a desire to learn and develop further
• - The ability to work effectively as part of a team
