Job summary

Willing Care Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Registered Home Manager for a Good CQC-rated nursing home in the Stoke-on-Trent area. You will provide confident, visible leadership to ensure safe, compassionate, highly individualised care for residents.

The role requires a nurse-qualified Registered Manager or an experienced manager with Level 5 Health & Social Care qualification, with a strong background in complex needs and behaviours that may challenge.

Qualifications

• Registered Home Manager with proven experience in care homes.
• Background in supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours that may challenge.
• Lead and develop a team while maintaining high standards of care, compliance and person-centred practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible and supportive leadership across the service.
• Maintain and build upon the home's Good CQC rating.
• Ensure residents receive high-quality, person-centred nursing and dementia care.
• Support the team to understand and respond appropriately to behaviours that challenge, ensuring care remains compassionate, consistent and individualised.
• Oversee care planning, risk assessments and clinical governance.
• Maintain excellent standards of safeguarding, medication management and regulatory compliance.
• Recruit, develop and retain a skilled and motivated team.
• Coach and support senior staff to strengthen leadership throughout the home.
• Monitor quality and performance, implementing improvement plans where required.
• Build positive relationships with residents and their families.
• Manage budgets, staffing levels and resources effectively.
• Support occupancy and the overall commercial performance of the service.

Job description

Set amongst acres of land in a peaceful and spacious setting, this Good CQC-rated nursing home provides specialist nursing and dementia care in a calm and supportive environment. The home is seeking an experienced Registered Home Manager who can provide confident, visible leadership while ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate and highly individualised care.

Ideally, you will be a nurse-qualified Registered Manager, although applications are also welcomed from experienced Registered Managers who hold a Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care. You will need proven experience as a registered care home manager, along with a strong background in supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours that may challenge. You should be confident leading and developing a team while maintaining high standards of care, compliance and person-centred practice.
