Job summary

Leaders In Care is looking for an experienced Nursing Home Manager to lead a West Hertfordshire home. You will drive clinical governance, ensure person-centred care, and oversee staffing, budgets and compliance to deliver outstanding outcomes.

With a strong track record in elderly care, you will lead a multidisciplinary team and maintain excellent relationships with residents, families and commissioners, ensuring a high standard of care and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Active NMC PIN (desirable)
  • Previous Home Manager or senior management experience in elderly care
  • Strong knowledge of CQC standards and quality assurance

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the home nursing, care and wider team
  • Maintain compliance with CQC standards and clinical governance
  • Ensure care plans are person-centred, regularly reviewed and delivered
  • Manage staffing, rotas and staff development
  • Monitor budgets, occupancy and resources for sustainable performance
  • Build relationships with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals

Nursing Home Manager West Hertfordshire| Full-time, 40 hours per week

£75,000 - £85,000, quarterly bonus and benefits

This is an opportunity to manage a highly regarded60-bedded nursing homein West Hertfordshire. The home has an excellent reputation for resident care, reflected in itsGood CQC ratingand outstanding feedback from residents and families.

You’ll take the lead in maintaining high standards across the service, developing a capable team and ensuring every resident receives safe, compassionate and personalised care.

What you’ll be doing

As Home Manager, you’ll have overall responsibility for the home’s operational and clinical performance. You’ll provide strong day-to-day leadership, promote a positive culture and ensure the service continues to deliver excellent outcomes.

  • Leading and supporting the nursing, care and wider home team
  • Maintaining compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding and clinical governance requirements
  • Ensuring care plans are person-centred, regularly reviewed and effectively delivered
  • Managing staffing, recruitment, rotas and employee development
  • Monitoring budgets, occupancy and resources to support sustainable home performance
  • Building productive relationships with residents, relatives, commissioners and healthcare professionals
  • Identifying opportunities to strengthen quality, resident experience and team engagement

You’ll need
  • An activeNMC PIN (desired)
  • Previous Home Manager or senior management experience in a nursing home, elderly care or similar setting

  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a multidisciplinary team
  • Commercial awareness and confidence managing staffing and operational budgets
  • A genuine commitment to delivering outstanding, person-centred care
